Update on kidney issue at anatomy scan

St

So yesterday i went back for a repeat check at baby’s hands and kidneys. Hands turned out to be fine. Right kidney is located in the pelvic area with a 1.1 cyst which is not big. There is still flow in the the right kidney which could indicate that at this point the kidney might still be functioning. Even if it fails doctors didn’t seem too concerned as her left kidney oils good and we won’t know more until after birth unless i decide to do the amniocentesis. Which i decided not to because it’s not going to change my decision on having my babygirl anyway. Doctors told me that renal issues are very common and that on their own, are very mild and post no life threatening risks. However they also did a fetal echo to check baby’s heart and they might have seen a small hole in baby’s heart. Which could close before birth or immediately after birth. Also very mild and on its own not a high risk for baby. Combining the two findings and the fact that i had an abnormal blood screen during the first trimester they are a bit more concerned that their could be a genetic issue. My second blood work came back low risk which was the NIPT. I can’t stop worrying but i decided that if my baby does have a genetic disease that caused both findings in the heart and kidney and also the abnormal first blood screen, i will just deal with whatever god sends me. Otherwise baby looks good. Fluid is good. No physical abnormalities are visible at this time. If there are any developmental issues down the road only time will tell. Who has been told their baby ya a VSD or Kidney issue? Or both? How’s your baby doing? Did you do amnio? Was it worth the risk? I honestly don’t know what to do but I’m choosing faith and believing that whatever is sent my way is from god and i have to be grateful for it.
