Question

So I have a gut feeling I'm pregnant. I'm only 10 dpo and am still getting negative tests. My question is, at what point will a blood test show postive? I've had 3 miscarriages because my body doesn't produce progesterone so if I'm pregnant I'm afraid by the time a pee test will show, it will be too late. When will the doctor do a blood test for you? Would it be my obgyn or my primary?

I would call your OB and tell her that you got a faint line, and ask for a blood test ASAP so you can start on progesterone if you are pregnant.

Answer

Dr likely won’t do a blood test until the pee test is positive. If you’re pregnant, It would show already because implantation would’ve happened. Hcg would be up & Hcg would show on the blood test as soon as implantation happens. So if implantation hasn’t happened yet, they’d both be negative. 
Better to just wait and see when your period does/doesn’t show up.
