Has anyone got pregnant without period back?

I’m 8 months postpartum and breastfeeding, haven’t got my period back...thinking about ttc this summer, but I prob need my period back right!? Has anyone gotten pregnant in this situation?

Some women will ovulate without having a period. Pay attention for egg white cervical mucous. That indicates ovulation. My mom got pregnant at 4 months and never had a period, and also didnt pay any kind of attention to ovulation cycles. Just poof - baby. Some women won’t have any ovulatory cycle until they stop. It’s all hormone related.

My eldest was 5months I was breastfeeding didn't have a period. Well at 6months postpartum I just wasn't feeling well supplement dropped a bit so I thought my period would start. It didn't. Went to the doctor they did blood work and told me I was pregnant. I did miscarry at 12 weeks but wasn't due to breastfeeding just happened. But very possible to get pregnant. You ovulated before you start your period anyway. So I was going to start but happened to catch the egg before haha
