How long after giving birth did you guys drive?

I have two other kids that need to go to preschool so I can relax. I gave birth two days ago. And I was wondering how long after can you drive? My husband license is suspended right now so he can’t drive. Just wondering..... thank you so much!!!

I drove as soon as I went home. I think as long as your not on any pain meds that can impair you, your fine to drive!

I drove myself home because they were going to give me a ticket if my car was left in the lot.  I continued to drive as needed after that because my ex was worthless.

Depends on how you gave birth. With a C-section you aren’t supposed to lift more than just the baby until you have your check up. I didn’t drive while by myself because I couldn’t lift the baby in her carrier. If I had someone who could carry her and get her in the car then I could drive. I didn’t take any pain meds either. I definitely wouldn’t drive on those.

I gave birth on Friday, home Sunday, drove my oldest to PreK on the Wednesday. Driving isn’t the hard part, it’s lifting in/out of car seats that can be difficult. Just be sure not to lift more than you can or should. 
(I’m not sure for csection. I had vaginal deliveries.)

Just give your dr a call and they should give you an idea. I had a csection. So I had to wait 2 weeks
