White noise a game changer?

Hey ladies! How many of y’all have a white noise machine? Pros/cons of them would be much appreciated! Thanks

Yes. Yes. Yes. The only con is that they can get annoying for myself sometimes. But the consitant background noise helps keep him from hearing other sounds, like cars, planes, dogs etc. I got a cheap one on Amazon and it has several settings. It took a few tries to see which he did best with... it's the ocean. It definitely wont hurt to try!

I don’t but have always used a fan for white noise with all my babies. I personally can’t sleep without the noise of it and now my first two kids can’t sleep without a fan either. All my babies started sleeping through the night at very early ages and are still are excellent sleepers. Not sure if the fan is a part of that or not... but I know I have to have it on to sleep well.

I just use a white noise app on an old phone for my son. It helps him sleep longer

My 10 month old has probably never slept without white noise. I take it with us whenever he naps away from home.

It’s a necessity for us! We’ve used it since newborn stage (she’s now 2) and she loves the ocean/waves crashing. If she doesn’t have it, it’s a struggle to get her to sleep and stay asleep.

I dont have a machine yet but I did find that white noise calms my 3week old down. I am using youtube for that now. Looking into getting a machine soon though.

They never worked with any of my kids 🤷🏻‍♀️ the womb noises worked for nap time for a very short time with my son but other then that I wasn’t impressed lol but some babies it works for
