I would say no, it depends how far her upper lip goes up her nose. One of the LC diagnosed us with a lip tie and recommended the surgery. I spent a lot of time reading about it and it’s a very invasive and awful surgery, where you need to stretch the wound so it doesn’t go back together, Eventually all babies grow And the tie will rise itself up as well. After doing a research about it I came to the conclusion that I wouldn’t do it to my child. Her latch is not perfect and I do get sore nipples here and there but she is gaining weight that’s enough for me.

Nursing hurts for me too, but after seeing an LC and ensuring his latch was good... I’ve just determined it’s a combination of letdown and that the feeling on my nipples is uncomfortable.  🤷‍♀️ but it’s not causing damage or anything
