How many of you experienced severe heartburn and had a baby with a head full of hair OR how many suffered and still had a baby with no hair!? With my first I had no heartburn at all and she was bald as can be (not anymore!) but this time my heartburn is horrendous, can't wait to see how it plays out!!

Heartburn and hair has zero correlation.  It’s just another old wives tale that means nothing.

People love to say this is an old wives tale, but there is some science behind it (per a Johns Hopkins study)!  Basically, the same hormones linked to relaxing your esophagus sphincter are linked to fetal hair growth.  Of course there's so many factors at play that nothing can be definitive.  For me, I had horrendous heartburn from about 20wks on in my first pregnancy and my baby had a full head of hair.  Currently pregnant with my second and I've experienced more typical heartburn related to diet and the 3rd trimester in general so I'm interested to see if this baby has less hair.

True for me buuut it’s actually a correlation to how much fuzz (not the technical term) they have on their body in womb which most babies shed right before birth or right after! So most people think it has to do with hair on their head it actually does not lol. Studies have actual shown it to be true based on the fuzz they have on them in womb not on their head lol)

I had really bad heartburn with all 3 of my babies my 2 boys came out with hardly any hair and my little girl came out with a full head of hair and lots of it, never used headbands as she got that much hair I can use clips. she’s 5months now I can put her hair up in piggy tails! 😂
