If you shoved all the ignorant opinions  that is me could possibly have into one body, you'd get Donald Trump. I don't think I've ever heard him say anything with a shred of intellect.

He was thinking his friend's kid was diagnosed with autism... Parents blamed the vaccines and rather than check scientific studies, he believed them. It's so much easier to point to an outside reason than to think your child wasn't "perfect" to begin with.

What gets me is that of course there are more diagnosed cases of autism now than 20 years ago!  For one, we know so much more about the spectrum than we used to, so kids are being diagnosed more accurately than before - when the usual answer used to be "anti-social" or "retarded". Two: we have a much bigger population than we used to!  The overall percentage hasn't increased that much. But a larger sample size will always mean more cases.

And I hate that it's automatically assumed to be a "disability". They're different, and yes some are impaired, but it's not always the horror autism is made out to be.

I definitely cringed when he said that his friend's kid "turned autistic" after receiving vaccines. Yikes! 😨

He didn't blame vaccinations as a whole. He said that he believes in the vaccinations but in a longer period of time then what it is now.  He blames that because the vaccinations are so close together that that is what causes it.

I hate to do this but... wth was he thinking!?
