What did your body feel like after birth?

I gave birth last night and when standing up straight it feels super weird... like my lungs feel funny (probably because there’s now room) but just wondering if anyone else experienced this sensation almost feels funny to take a deep breath?

When I stood up it felt like I was going to pass out and someone was squeezing my heart and lungs. Was hard to breathe the first few days. Today is the first day I feel somewhat normal. I just had my baby Saturday. They did some blood work and I was anemic. Not dangerously anemic but enough that that's what they thought was causing it.

I felt exactly the same way with my first and this one too. It gets better and goes away for me after just a few days. Super weird though!

I felt the exact same way and no one understood what I meant. I walked semi hunched over just to feel kind of normal. It was a really awful feeling and I’m not looking forward to it happening again. I was also told I was anemic so that’s probably it.
