Baby is almost one

So my child will be one in May and I haven’t started to read to her. I have panic attacks thinking I’m not a good mom for that and she screams when I go out with her to the stores and stuff. Some days I feel like I’m failing as a mom 😫 what should I do? She’s me one and only. I do let her cry for a little bit.
