Am I the only one declining cervical checks until I’m in labor?

My midwife doesn't even do them until you're in labor.  I could request them this time around as it's my second and my first labor was fast, but I don't I'll request them unless something warrants it.

I am in the uk and I’m 36 weeks and haven’t been checked yet ... no idea why I haven’t but it’s never been discussed

Even when I’m in labor I don’t wanna know until it’s time to push. Lol. I’m gonna tell my midwife not to tell me until it’s go time.

I’m high risk and have a cerclage in my cervix so I’ve been getting them since I started having pain around 35 weeks to make sure it’s still placed correctly and still doing it’s thing

My OB doesn’t do them, 38 weeks tomorrow and haven’t had a check. If offered I wouldn’t refuse because why the heck not. But at the end of the day doesn’t tell you too much, unless in labour/high risk. So not going to fret about it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t want to be checked until I’m in labor, which is standard with my midwives anyway. In fact, I don’t want to be checked until I feel like I need to push. I fell pray to “labor math” with my first, and ended up with an epidural. I’ll forever wonder if I hadn’t gotten checked if I could have pushed through and had a natural birth.

I’m 37 weeks and I had one only because I had to go to the ER and they wanted to make sure my back pain wasn’t from early labour. But other than that my Ob doesn’t do them

They make me so anxious because my delicate cervix always bleeds afterward. And of course they tell you nothing. So I don’t get them done until I’m in labor.

I haven’t been checked at all. I would completely refuse them as well. I don’t believe they’re safe to just do willy nilly. However, I do have some health issues arising and need to have some exams today actually. But otherwise I’d refuse.
