Turner syndrome miscarriage

S

Hi ladies. Just wanted to share some horrible news. I found out I was pregnant on March 1st and was so happy. It was my 7th cycle of TTC.

Everything looked great and normal two weeks ago at my first ultrasound (when I was almost ten weeks) and I had some blood work done to determine the gender and see if there are any abnormalities with the baby. On Monday I found out that the baby (a girl) had a 73 percent chance of having Tuners Syndrome which means that there is only one X chromosome (instead of XX for a girl). A fetus with turners syndrome has a less than one percent chance of making it to birth due.

I had an ultrasound done yesterday afternoon and the doctor confirmed that the baby has severe Turners syndrome and has a lot of fluid behind her neck (8mm of fluid) and throughout her body, along with a massive heart defect. She told me that the pregnancy is no longer viable and there’s no chance the baby will make it. She did say that some Turner babies do make it, but they don’t show such severe signs as this fetus showed. I am beyond devastated and don’t see a possible way to get through this. Please send lots of hope and love.
