Follicles and how many is good?

I had my first ultrasound to count follicles on my one ovary I have left. The counter 14 is that a good number?

Are you doing ivf or iui? Also, count isn’t important. It’s the size that matters - the follicle needs to be over 16mm to carry a mature egg and not all follicles contain eggs. A lot of follicles doesn’t make you more successful than someone with only a few. I would focus on how many are over 18 or will be at your retrieval (if you’re doing ivf). Those are the ones that will likely carry viable eggs.
