Is it naive and unrealistic to think I might marry my college bf?

My bf and I are 19 and have been dating for five months. We get along so well. It’s not even that we have so much fun together. It’s more like we are just COMPATIBLE. we have the same views on life and we have the same values. Is it unreasonable to think I may be with him for the long haul? I don’t know. Everyone says your first love is amazing but never lasts but the idea of ever being without him hurts me to think about. We have a very mature relationship and are able to talk through all of our issues. We’ve really never had any. But still. 
Anyone out there married someone they met their first year of college?

Not at all. I went on my first date with my husband when I was 16 and I told him then my goal was to be in a serious long term relationship that would lead to marriage. We have been together going on 9 years now and married going on 6 years.

you’re not being unrealistic but sometimes the things that we hope/want to happen may not always work in our favor. people that we think we want are not the same people/person we need in life (sometimes). I wouldn’t doubt your relationship necessarily but keeping an open mind & staying focus on yourself & education is more important than any relationship 🤗💙

I met my fiancé in college, and it seems like you have a good head on your shoulders, so you’ve thought about it. It’s not bad to take it into consideration, but also just enjoy your college life with him without stressing too much about the future

My fiancé and I met during my first year of college on tinder. We currently are living together, engaged, and expecting our first little one. From personal experience I can say that relationships on a college level / after college are more mature and most lead to furthering the relationship. My first “love” was in high school and I am so glad that it ended. Don’t doubt your relationship because when you know you know!
