Hole under tongue???

Question

Hey everybody. My baby boy is 4 months and when he was crying I noticed he has a hole under his tongue. It’s not huge it’s just a small hole you can only see it when he’s crying. It’s not bothering him nor is it red or swollen. Does anybody know what this is? I can’t get a picture of it since he doesn’t let me pick up his tongue

He has a tongue tie. 
His frenulum is more attached than usual.
Tongue ties and lip ties are common. Pediatricians are not educated nor specialized in recognizing a lip or tongue tie. On a pediatric dentist can asses and properly diagnose a lip and a tongue tie.
They can be easily revised in under 10 minutes and it's done with laser. No pain.
My daughter had a lip tie on top,  lip tie on bottom and a tongue tie( with the weird looking hole under it).
Look into tongue ties online.
Getting a tie revised is the best you can do. Ties -can- cause a multitude of issues. They can cause one, or many issue.
From making breastfeeding impossible and painful, to baby crying all the time (aka colic), to speech delay, and feeding issues. And later in life, permanent teeth coming in wrong, life long migraines, speech impediments,  etc.
Get a referral to a pediatric dentist that specializes in ties, from your pediatrician.
