Do you take turn putting the kids to sleep??

Question

My boyfriend works mon-fri (6:30am-5pm) sometimes sat (6:30am -noon) and I get he’s tired and stuff, but so am i, and I’m always the one that puts our daughter down and sometimes it’s a struggle, and obviously he stays up and watches tv while I do it. I don’t know if it’s fair.. whaatre your opinions?

My husband always puts my daughter to sleep, I do the bath, brushing teeth, lotion and I put PJs on and after that her dad takes her to her room he reads her two small books, they pray and he sings a lullaby and puts her in her crib it’s a routine and he loves her time with her since their bond strengths he is tired from work but no matter what he does his part. You should tell your husband that it’s a great way to spend quality time with his kid

We put our oldest to bed together. When he was younger I would do most of the bathing and teeth brushing but the actual tucking into bed part we would both do. It helped that he has always been easy to put  to bed and never fought it. If he got up in the middle of the night I would usually be the one to take him back to bed. My husband does most of the cooking and we split the chores. We’ve been together for 10 years and have settled into this routine of sharing responsibilities even if I was a stay at home mom and he worked many hours a week.

At least 90 percent of the tims i put the kids down to bed. Myself. If i ask him to help or do it most the time he does. I think personally what ever works best for you and ypur household. Even if the guy helps out alot us as mothers alqays2do way much more then. Dads. My husband is a very good dad and very helpful but i still do more then him

While I was breastfeeding I was the one exclusively putting him down. When I needed to stop breastfeeding, I told my husband that he HAD to put him down for at least a week to help with the transition. Turns out my husband started really enjoying that time with our baby and now continues to put him down probably 5 nights a week. He does bathtime too (while I get pajamas and bedtime stuff ready). I'm really only on bedtime duty these days if my husband has plans out of the house.

My hubby travels out of town for work on big commercial projects for week or two at a time. When he is home, he sometimes puts the girls to bed. However, it’s just routine for me to put them in bed.

It’s the perfect way to spend some time with her after not seeing her all day.. suggest he reads her a story and that becomes their bedtime ritual. Tell him you need some downtime too.

My husband leaves the house in the morning at 5:30am is home by 5pm sometimes a little earlier depending on traffic (he has about a 40 min commute each way without traffic). I am a sahm & we always put our 22 month old to sleep together. Sometimes if he is busy or working on his computer for work I will put him down but it’s mainly both of us putting him to bed. Our almost 3 month old is still in his bassinet in our room.

durring the week my husband doesn't get home till 9pm and our son goes down 6:30-7. 
he works a few hours on Saturdays, but for the majority is home all weekend. and I know he's tired, and grumbles but he puts our son down both Saturday& Sunday nights. 
we've talked about how important it is for our son to see both of us and do things with us. it's also good to know how to handle certain routines, like last week I had surgery so my husband took a few days of work off and he was already prepared to handle bedtime because he's had that practice already!

My husband works and I’m a stay at home mum to her (and currently pregnant with number 2) I do nap times during the day and he always does bed time. They miss each other during the day and so they love to have a bit of one on one time reading stories etc. However I get her ready, like pj’s on, clean nappy, brush teeth etc.
