First pregnancy. Is this normal? Please read

So I took two at home tests Monday that were positive and then 3 more on Tuesday- all positive. Called my doctor and they said there’s no need to confirm and made an appointment for when I will be 10 weeks along for the first visit. Is this normal? Do they typically not do bloodwork prior to the appointment to confirm and know the actual gestation period?

That’s normal as far as I’ve seen. I don’t think bloodwork can tell gestational age, just an ultrasound. I’ve gone in at 8-10 weeks with both of my pregnancies and had nothing done before then.

This is normal, no one will see u before 9 weeks. Sadly they do this Incase u miscarriage and also there’s not much to look at before then

My office never really does bloodwork unless there is a problem. I do go in for a confirmation appointment but I only pee in a cup.

Yup, I’ve been pregnant 5 times and never had a pregnancy “confirmed.” My first appointment was at 9 weeks this time, even with a history of miscarriage and one just a few months prior.

I had my booking in appointment at 9+1 and my first scan will be at 13+5.
