Positive genetic testing

I am a medical assistant at an ob/gyn office.. So I know first hand how many false positives these tests give.. I had the integrated screening test don't with my daughter and it was negative... I do have a family history of spina bifida, my mom has a mild form, and I had 2 uncles with severe spina bifida who died as children.. I had my daughter at 29 weeks due to hellp syndrome (severe preeclampsia) and she was also IUGR, there was no blood flow through the umbilical cord, and I had extremely low fluid.. She weighed 1lb 13oz but came out breathing on her own and spent 7 weeks in the nicu to grow.. She is now 3 and amazingly healthy.. Naturally, I was terrified to have another baby but knew we really wanted 2 kids.. So we are now 17w3d and I just found out today that my test came back positive for a 1 in 22 chance of Down syndrome, and an increased risk of spina bifida.. I tell patients all the time about how often I see this and not to worry and I've never seen a positive one actually be accurate.. But now that it's me in this position.. I'm SO worried.. And because I also have the family history I'm even more freaked out.. I am going on Tuesday to have my anatomy scan at a high risk office (which I was doing anyways cause I'm high risk regardless of these results) and to meet with a genetic counselor.. There's a chance I may need an amniocentesis and I'm freaking out over all of this.. Thankfully we only want 2 kids cause I can't go through a crazy emotional pregnancy ever again 😞
