Bassinet recommendations or other similar options?

Question

Looking for similar options to a bassinet. We were going to look in to a rock n play but with the recent recall we don't want to take the risk. We need something slim to go next to our bed but also won't break the bank. Please help our baby is coming in 3 weeks!

Find an actual bassinet as babies need a flat surface to sleep on so they don’t suffocate from their neck falling forward and cutting off their airway...I was able to find a very gently used halo bassinet on Facebook marketplace for $100! I’d definitely look there! 😊

Co sleeper! It is very similar to a pack n play but slimmer and shorter and fits right up against your bed.  The side that’s next to your bed is shorter so you basically are sleeping with your baby but they are safe in their own space. I had a bassinet first and then my friend let me borrow her co sleeper. It is amazing!!

We have a giant bed in a tiny room and the uppababy bassinet stand fits perfectly between the bed and wall. Your best bet is probably to measure the space you have and go to BBB or a local baby store that has displays so you can check out the options.
