How often can people in the Navy use email?

A friend of mine is in the Navy and left for sea, he told me to email him but I didn't ask how often he has access to email. Does anybody know?

My sister is in the navy and is out at sea, she is able to get online when they stop at their different ports. So it will depend on the distance they have to travel and how long they stay at port.

What Kat said, but also depends on their job. I was talking to this one wife while our husbands were deployed. Her husband could only contact her weekly. My husband is an IT, so he was always at a computer so we got to send emails back and forth almost daily

Like everyone else says, it depends on the job. My job allows computer access all day so I’d always be available, however my husband has an engineering rate so he can get on once a day at best. Sometimes once a week. Depends on how busy they are and where they are.
