Hi All !

I recently had a transvaginal ultrasound that should both ovaries are polycystic. Up until this week my most recent ultrasound was 2016 - which showed nothing at that time.

Of course, this is all surfacing as my husband and I decided to try for our first baby. I was wondering if anyone could walk me through what will likely happen next? I have an appointment with an OB on Monday - but curiosity is killing me.

A little background: I’ve been having periods since I was 11. From what I can remember they were irregular and heavier. Fast forward to age 14 - I was started on depo provera until around age 19/20. Switched to nexplanon then mirena after it seemed that I had some fluid retention and rapid weight gain.

I’ve tried Oral birth control pills- but I end up getting break through bleeding. I had my mirena removed in June 2018. Had to be started on birth control to get my periods started again. Since August my cycles have ranged anywhere from 30-43 days. My periods are usually light/medium flow for only 4ish days. Cramps aren’t severe.

I’ve been struggling to lose any weight at all the last 10 months despite every effort.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is all very new to me and to be honest - I’m terrified.
