Babes not talking?

Question

Anyone else have a baby that's not talking yet?
Mine understands words but isn't saying any and I'm super worried.

My daughter says mama and dada sometimes but mostly just makes a bunch of random sounds

My son says about 5 words and we just went for his 15 month check up today and his doctor wasn’t concerned. She said he’s babbling and that’s good and just to keep working with him.

There is plenty of time yet. My niece is a year older and my sister said they were told at the 18mo check to expect a burst of language. At the time she was still pretty much babbling. Sure enough within a month or two her vocabulary exploded. 
Soon they will be talking our ears off.

Mine is not saying any words either, just mamá but he doesn’t say it directly at me. I asked his pediatrician at his one year appointment and he said not to worry until he’s 18 months old but he said if I was really concerned he could do a referral for speech therapy But since he wasn’t concerned we decided to wait. We’re bilingual in our house so I don’t know if me speaking Spanish to him and his dad English might have something to do with it 🤷🏻‍♀️

My daughter doesn’t say much but even the last week she seems like she’s suddenly trying to talk and communicate with us more and it ‘sounds’ like a conversation rather than just noises

My daughter says a number of words and I keep thinking she may not be saying as much because she’s bilingual but I don’t know o guess they’re still pretty young
