Do contractions hurt towards the top of your stomach?

Feeling nauseous today and having some pain off and on in my upper stomach. I’m not sure if this is the start of labor (🤞🏻) or just an upset/crowded tummy.

My doctor said Braxton Hicks usually are just the top of the uterus. You’ll feel the top of the uterus get super hard like a baseball. When you get a real labor contraction it’s more likely that your entire uterus will get hard and tight like that. I’ve only had one of those and it was awful lol.

Yesterday I had cramps around the top of my stomach. Kind of like if you have gas. It only happened once. Idk if it was Braxton hicks or a true contraction.
