Hey guys. I’ve been gone a while because after my HSG had bad results I just couldn’t. So I saw a fertility specialist in Albuquerque Thursday and got even more bad news. I don’t feel as defeated though because I wasn’t expecting things to be ok. The results were as follows:

HUGE cyst on my ovary.

Very few follicles on that ovary

Curved uterus

Blocked tubes

Endometriosis

Left ovary was great: healthy and more than 12 follicles.

So my next steps are:

Lab work

A second HSG JUST in case

A hysteroscopy to determine extent of endometriosis

Semen analysis for my partner.

After all that it’ll probably be surgery for the cyst and scraping of the uterus, and THEN maybe I’ll be able to start discussing <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a>. It’s been a hard journey and still much more to go. Unfortunately I live in rural New Mexico, so my doctor is 6 hours away.
