Do you ovulate EVERY MONTH?

So ladies can u have a period but not ovulate? How do you know for sure? Been trying for almost a yr and no luck? What are signs of PCOS? Can it be stress? I'm lost,please help.

Yes you can, AND you can also receive positives on ovulation tests and still not release an egg. Only true way to know is you get a blood test OR you fall pregnant. 
Pcos has a wide variety of signs and symptoms, acne, unusual body hair, painful ovaries, weight gain, hormone imbalance etc. 
if you do suspect pcos, the sooner you get to the doctors the better it can be. Especially with fertility.

Track using your basal body temperature! Opks can tell you when you're about to ovulate, but they don't confirm it's actually happened. With tracking your temperature after you wake up in the morning every day, you'll see a trend of low temps and then high temps after ovulation. You should look into it.
