Can it effect your marriage?

Everything I read is about not bonding with your new baby. But I'm bonding perfectly with him. The problem I have is my husband. I'm snappy with him all the time. I cry uncontrollably. I told him yesterday that I just wish he would try a little harder with life. I told both my mom and sister that I honestly hate him. He gets in bed and I get out of it. He spanked my older son for something, and I cried and held him, apologizing. Then I was angry at my husband. I'm out of a sorts all over the place. I've kicked him out twice, only to cry hysterically when he packs a bag. What is going on with me?

My SO and I never fought before the baby was born.  Like one argument every 3 months maybe.  We just got along so well.  Now I feel like I am a raging bitch to him all the time.  I feel like because he works and drives 2 hours a day I'm with the baby all the time and I'm up all night nursing and sleeping on a love seat so my SO can get some sleep.  We still split the bills 50/50 so he's not the only one supporting us financially.  I just feel like I'm doing it all.  He doesn't even  offer to let me sleep in our bed on the weekends and he sleep on the sofa (our son sleeps in his swing as he won't sleep anywhere else and the swing won't fit in our room)  I truly believe that sleep is the culprit.  On the days I feel like I got some sleep I'm ok to be around.   On the days where the baby was up all night?  I'm close to tears and want to blame it all on my SO.   I do feel resentful.  Even about his 2 hour drive to work lol, at least he had 2 hours to himself!! I get 5 minutes in the shower if I'm lucky.  I feel your pain.   I LOVE my son and wouldn't change anything.  But I am a FTM and this is all very new..  just hard getting adjusted to my new life.

Yes it definitely can! I left mine untreated and it ultimately played a huge part in my husband and mines separation. We are good now but don't wait to seek help. If you're feeling down and not yourself, tell your doctor

After making sure you're not depressed-
Communication!!! Never fester. Just breathe, practice the nicest, most non- offensive way to say how YOU feel (remove blaming words or asking sarcastic, sometimes even general, questions of his actions). Always address issues quickly! Not doing so leads to resentment which I believe is the murderer of love. 
Oh, and you really have to work to identify your feelings, we keep a lot more shit buried and rationalized than we realize. I think women being superior communicators is a bit crap. Maybe we're just better at eloquently stringing all the rage together when we lose it than men are.  
It takes a ton of practice, patience and commitment but it saved our marriage.

Talk to your doctor it could be post partum depression. I was diagnosed with it 4 months after my baby was born and my medication helps SO much with my crazy mood swings!

I feel similar. My husband works 3 hours away 6 days a week. So he leaves at 3 am and doesn't get home till 7pm! I get up EVERY time the baby cries. I take my daughter across the city for her half day preschool. So that's getting the baby ready & out the door TWICE before noon! I do the laundry. I cook. I do my best to keep the house as clean as I can. It gets very over whelming & I notice I do get kinda snippy at whine at my husband when. He gets home. I picked a fight that turned into a pretty decent one this week cause he was late for parent night at the school. I've been a SAHM since February, he supports the house 100% & when the baby has cried all day and my daughter decideds that THIS is the day she's going to make mommy go crazy. Yea i tend to envy my husband. & those are the days he comes home & gets the silent treatment till I burst out when he forgets to pick up his towel off the floor or walks past the spilled cup of milk 3 times. He's been very good about brushing off my bad attitude.but he can tell when I've had enough. Like he took Saturday off this week. It's the little things. :) I plan on going to target! LOL!

I'm having the same problem.My husband really wanted a child and we had a hard time conceiving with mc's and not getting pregnant.But when our daughter was born he just froze up... He didn't do anything and when we went home 3days after my c section he left everything up to me😞I still hurt so bad but had to get up for every little thing and the things he did he screwed up like not washing his hands before making her bottle,even when he just petted the dog or cleaned his poop 
So I got soooo mad and he just brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal...
It defenately hurt our marriage.Now shes 8weeks and it's starting to get a bit better but I haven't had any time to rest or recover from my surgery so I am exhausted and feeling sad and miserable😞
So maybe it's him and not you? Maybe he's a bit overwhelmed?
You're not alone anyway I've wanted to strangle him more than once since we had the baby... X
