I noticed my little sisters notebook she had laying out and I thought it was school work but I was never allowed to have a notebook that small in school so I said “what is that?” And she said “my song writing.” And I said “can I read it?” And she said yes. I read and most of its love songs and then there’s randomly a song about being sexually assaulted by a family member and self harming. I put the book down and said “what is this?” And she stared at me and said “it’s just a song.” “Okay, but where did you get that idea? How would you know how that feels?”

“I wouldn’t. I like to write songs about anything whether or not I went through it myself.” and I let it go because aloooot of artists do that. But it still bothered me. She is 16.
