Does your birth control affect you?

Please comment what birth control you are on and how it affects you.
I’m 17 and would really like to know what birth control is best and how much it affects you. Eg. Cramps, headaches, acne, depression, weight gain etc.

I was on the pill for like four years. I missed ONE pill and ended up pregnant (so make sure if you choose pill option you’re responsible enough to remember to take it EVERY day). It shortened my cycles from 7 days to like 4/5. My skin was clearer as far as the acne I had. I was a little hormonal but can’t really tell if that was from birth control, or being a teenager or both.

Just use condoms, Im 17 too and would 100% not recommend the birth control implant...it made me bleed for 6-7 months straight and I’ve gone to the clinic plenty times and they don’t care what problems you have whilst you have it, so yeah just stick to condoms they won’t fuck up your periods and you will be able to keep track of them on glow instead of getting the implant then having to log everyday as a period and then not knowing what the hell is going on.

I was on the pill for about 3 months and I gained about 20 pounds but I was eating a lot. When I got off of it I immediately dropped it and got the implant. The first couple of months I would just slight headaches and no period. After the 6 month I started getting depressed and always feeling tired. I’ve heard good things about the IUD because it’s not hormonal

Well i was on birth control pills for a good min it really didnt affect me except i guess it made my mood alil moody (even though im bipolar and have mood swings etc...) but after a while it stopped working for me and my periods were always irregular some people say it helps with their periods but it stopped mines and if i missed one day my period will come *snap* like that but when i stopped taking it my period stopped for months i didnt think anything about it because im already extremely irregular so my last periods were Sept. then Oct. of 2018 and i jus got mines this month (im just got off) but your body might react to birth control wayy different then how my body did but i havent heard anything about birth control making you depressed or anything like that i suffer from anxiety depression mood swing suicidal thoughts and also had attempts my whole life but again i dont really think/know if birth control really affects things like that but you should research more and ask you doctor about this and which birth control will be best for you.
