My dog has a UTI. So she is on meds to clear it up. I was giving her hot dogs with the pill in it and other treats, but she would eat around the pill and spit the pill out. So now I just shove the pill as far back in her mouth as a I can and tilt her head up and hold her mouth shut till she swallows it. It’s worked fine. She doesn’t fight me, just takes her time to swallow the pills. My mom said she thinks it’s cruel to force her to take the pill like that. Is cruel??
