long period on birth control!

so i started spotting around last thursday or friday and didn’t really start my period until monday. it’s been only a small bit and it’s been dark brown with small clots and also very liquid and red. it’s been a week now. it’s such a little amount and i still have light cramps. i don’t know if it’s stress related or what but i stopped my anti anxiety meds last month. this period came a few days late as well. i thought it was ok because i take birth control (combination pill) every day and skip the fake pills. is this normal? is there anything that could be causing this?
