Clomid shortened cycle???

I just got the dreaded AF on CD 25 after my first round of clomid. I got a positive opk on CD 17, which was super exciting and is one reason I’m not more devastated than normal, because I’ve never gotten a positive opk before clomid. So yay! But that means I started my period when I was like 6 DPO 😩😩 my cycles have been 35-39 days, so I’m not sure if clomid normally makes longer cycles shorter or if there is something else going on?! Anyone have any experience or insight with this? Thanks!
