Getting married is making me more anxious about pregnancy
So I’m phobic of pregnancy and raising children. I see nothing wrong with this and am not trying to change it. My fiancé and I have agreed that we will not be having children for multiple reasons (phobia, mental health concerns, physical health concerns, etc). But for some reason as the wedding gets closer, I’m getting more and more afraid of getting pregnant. I honestly don’t know if the two are even connected. Does anyone have any idea why that fear might be growing though? I certainly don’t. It’s stayed pretty much the same my whole life.
And for the love of god stop telling me that I need to get help to get over my phobia or that I’ll change my mind or that I’ll regret any decision made to prevent pregnancy. I have known since I was seven that I never wanted children. Everyone needs to understand that not wanting children is fine and it doesn’t mean that you’re broken.
