Pros and cons of birth control 
( any type, that youve had experience with )
i want to get on one but i just want to generally know what others experienced, so i have an easier time choosing.

I hated the pill because of having to take it everyday which I was horrible about. I had nexplanon and really liked it. Never really had any symptoms with either though.

The depo worked great for me.. While i was on it. I started when i was in high school, weighing almost 100 pounds and only gained 15 the whole 3 years i was on it. But I came off when i got married and its been over a year and cycles still aren't regular. And it ruined my sex drive.

I never had any cons with hormonal birth control. My body reacts well to it in general. I liked the nuva ring a lot cause it was easy to deal with. Condoms can work fine too and protect from stds on top of pregnancy which is important if you're not in a commited relationship and you both haven't been tested.

I have mirena and it's all pros for me. It's one of the more effective methods, I never have to do anything, it's always working. I have no periods and no other side effects. That's nice, I was hoping to be one of the 20% of people that stop getting periods.

I bleed for 3 months straight on the nexplanon implant. Never had a problem with the pill. I took orthotrycyclin then I was on the mononessa tablet 10 years total. Never had a problem (only switched because I was bad at remembering to take the pill daily. Lol) worst mistake.

Had the Nexplanon implant and loved it. No periods for the 2 years I had it in.

Everyone's body reacts to birth control differently, what works for someone else may not work for you. Sometimes you have to try different types to find something that you like. I'm currently on the mini-pill since I'm breastfeeding, it's working well so far. I've been on the pill before, had no negative side effects, and loved it.

Depo shot made me f**king crazy. Nuvaring gave me really bad heart palpitations.
