did you have your IUD removed ?

i’m seriously debating on getting my Skyla removed, i’ve just heard and seen some pretty insane complications with the IUD. from it needing to be removed surgically, getting wrapped in the small intestines, perforating the uterus and many more. did any of you have complications with your IUD?

That sounds awful. No, I didn't have any issues at all with the two Mirenas I had back to back except cramping for a week after placement.

I got mine removed when I found out I was pregnant with it in there and then miscarried after they removed it

I have had the Skyla twice now. Never had any complications. Yes, they are possible, but they are rare. If you are concerned, talk to your gyno.

My sister recently made the decision to get hers out because she was in a lot of pain and wasn't sure why. Sure enough hers was sideways in her uterus and the little strings were wrapped around themselves. Its a good thing she went when she did
