Swollen Gums And Breath?

Has anyone else had swollen gums throughout their pregnancy? Recently my gums have been so swollen that they bleed as well. Also my breath smells horrible although I have very good hygiene! Not sure if its the Pre-Natals! Has it been happening with anyone else?

I manage dental practices and its pregnancy gingivitis and will go away after birth. You should get a cleaning every 3 months while pregnant to prevent the gingivitis from whetting worse because it can lead to periodontal disease which is not reversible.

Brush your teeth two times a day for 2 minutes each time, try to floss at least once a day, rinse with listenine for about 30 sec. Nightly & be sure to get your teeth cleaned every 3 months while pregnant. If you haven't yet since you've been pregnant make an appointment now.

I had this a month ago and it turned into horrific teeth pain.  my dentist said it was gingivitis.  I did mouthwashes (warm water and salt) and brushed my teeth with baking soda. I was put on antibiotics but the rinses helped alot.

Yup, swollen gums and bleeding is one of my signs of pregnancy in all pregnancies so far. I also notice my breath has an odor to it and it comes from the blood.

Swollen gum is a symptom of pregnancy also bleeding gums too. I had this with both pregnancies if my tooth brush hit my gums too hard or I brushed in a rush my gums would bleed because they were swollen. Bad breath too both times
