Did your ob/gyn say Evening Primrose Oil is okay?

I was going to ask about using it to prevent tearing but im scared of looking stupid 😂

I promise your doctor wont think you're stupid for asking those questions. 
I don't think it actually helps much. They lube you up as the baby is crowning and "message" the area to help promote stretching.  It helps for some and not for others. 
And from my experience, when you do tear, you don't even notice. It happens so quickly and then once the baby is in your arms, you really aren't even focusing on your vagina anymore.  It's a very.... Mind fucking... Is that the right word? I suppose it's the closest description i have. Its a mind fucking experience.

It is mainly used to soften your cervix.

There's no harm in asking! But I took this with my last 2 babies religiously & I had 2nd degree tears with both.. I don't think it helps with tearing at all.. ☹
