Crib or Bassinet?

I'm a FTM and struggling with what to purchase for my apartment. I will likely need to have a C-section and we live in a one bedroom apartment. I originally thought that I wanted to use a crib so that I could sleep train my baby, but I wonder if that is too ambitious after a C-section. I also plan to breastfeed, but I'm not opposed to pumping and using bottles. For those of you that have already experienced a newborn, what do you think? Should I keep a crib in the corner of the room or get a co-sleeper bassinet? What bassinets do you recommend?

A crib is better because they’ll outgrow the bassinet in a few months. 
Also lots of walking helped me heal from my c section.

Definitely a co-sleeper bassinet since you plan on breastfeeding and will have a c-section. It'll be much easier to get baby in the middle of the night and you don't have to strain as much to lift baby up over the crib bars.  I had a vaginal delivery, but I still use my pack n play with the newborn bassinet insert.

If space is an issue I’d look into a mini crib, it about the same size as a bassinet but it can be used for a lot longer than a traditional bassinet. Bassinets can typically only be used for a few months so it may not be worth buying that know8ng you’ll have to replace it not long after using it.

3rd time mom here. I've found cosleeping bassinets are more convenient. It was also much easier this time around with my c section.
