Quick labors are inherited?

Question

I'm a first time mom and struggle a little with anxiety for the big day.
My question for those who gave birth at least once: did your labor resemble your mother's?
My mom had 2 easy and quite short labors (3-4 hours from the first sign until she delivered) and I am courious if I can hope to have a similar experience.

I don’t know if it’s inherited or just a coincidence but my mom had two quick labors and my first labor was quick as well so I’m preparing for a quick labor again, very anxious

My mother’s was 24 hours. Mine was 17 hours, sped up with pitocin after 12 hours, without the pitocin it easily could have been a 24 hour labor like my mother’s. Hoping this one goes faster. 17 hours was so f***ing exhausting, to say the least.

Not sure if it’s inherited or not but my mom had quick labors (longest was 8 hours)and my son even being induced was pretty fast for my first. He would have been out in about 5 hours if he didn’t get twisted and make me have a c section eventually. Don’t get a chance this time to see if it’s true bc she’ll be another c section.

My big brother was breach so him and I were both c sections. That doesn't help you much lol.
A couple of my friends who have had more than one baby told me that forgoing the epidural or having it turned off when it's time to push made labor much faster

My sister had crazy quick deliveries 1st one was 3 hours. Second one 1.5 hours. I mentioned this to my midwife and she said she thinks her labors were super quick because she had her first at 16 she said don't rule out a quick labor but don't count on it either because there are a lot of other factors involved.

I have no idea, but my mother keeps telling me how easy her labours were and seems to believe it’ll be the same for me because of that. I guess you won’t know until you’re in labour. Fingers and toes crossed we both have easy births 🤞🤞🤞
