Early blood test to find out gender?

Do you plan on doing the blood test or waiting until the anatomy scan? I have had a few friends who have done this. Has anyone here had the test before? If so was it correct? Just curious of the effectiveness of the test.

I will be doing the MaterniT 21 plus test (simple blood draw) at ten weeks to  test for all chromosomal conditions, like down syndrome, and also the fetal sex. The cost is worth it, in my opinion. Another test that’s competitive to MaterniT 21 plus is the harmony test.

I'm supposed to be going to the Maternal Fetal Medicne group since I'm considered high risk due to being over 35. I am assuming they will do the blood test there. So far I was referred at 7.5 weeks and I am almost 9.5 weeks and haven't recieved a phone call from them to schedule an appointment so I am not sure when I will have it!

Yes I’m doing the gender blood test at my high risk doctors office you can do it early as 10 weeks

Not all insurance plans will pay for that blood test unless you are high risk or 35 or over. So I did not get it done for my 1st pregnancy and doubt it will be covered for this one.

I’m doing the sneak peak gender test and all my family does it it’s always accurate.

We did it with our first cause both my boyfriends parents are adopted and we had no medical history so we did it to check for genetic abnormalities. I did like finding out the gender early but did not like the big bill that was sent a few months later. They did a payment plan for me and lowered the cost so I'm conflicted as to what we'll do this time. Ours was correct my doctor explained it checks the fetal DNA in the mothers blood.

I got the NIPT test at my doctor’s around 12w during my last pregnancy and I was told the gender through that too. I’ll probably do the same thing this time.
