If I were to directly translate it from Norwegian i would say : baby had a bottle

I don’t eat milk I drink it.

Drank.... usually a bottle is filled with liquid.  So they drink it.  Saying they ate it sounds weird to me.  That makes me think of like they ate their actual bottle.  I don’t think it’s a big deal though, I’ve just never heard anyone say the ate it before.

It would be “drank” or “had”. Saying “ate a bottle” sounds literal and silly. If you’re going to use ate, it would make more sense to finish the sentence with “ate a bottle of formula or milk.”
