I am due Dec 24th. Was a little over cautious and made a dr appt ASAP. My family doctor was confident I’m In fine shape for having perfectly healthy pregnancy and delivery as I had blood work done exactly the day prior to conception and she said it all looked good. However I found it odd she did not do a medical preg test to confirm it. We are opting to pay extra to have genetic bloodwork done to test for possible defects “early” (as it is not covered by our medical). But my doctor said to make my first official prenatal appt at the prenatal clinic at 9 weeks and I imagine the results will take some time to come back as well. They ended up not booking me until I will be 10 weeks along. Is this waiting to long in case there is something wrong and we choose to terminate. I would obviously like to know sooner then later as the risk is slightly higher with my pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone has any advice.
