Monitoring on Clomid?

Should I be monitored on Clomid? I'm 24 and have been ttc for two years with only one tube. My obgyn prescribed clomid with no monitoring. I do have a RE that I have seen but he was pushing IVF which I cant afford at this time as my insurance covers absolutely nothing for fertility treatments. Should I call the RE to let him know I'm on clomid and see if he wants any monitoring?
