What do you think about the name Bernie for a boy?

So my partner loves the name Bernie, and wants to name our first son that.

Bernie, not Bernard. The name would be Bernie.

I'm on edge about it. I honestly do like it, and think its cute. But is it a name that would get him made fun of for some reason? Is it "adult" enough for later in life.

As you can tell I'm paranoid about giving my child the perfect name xD

All I can think of is Bernie Sanders. Feel the Bern! It is cute, though - and if he becomes President, you'll have the edge on naming him Bernie before everyone else. 😁

I like it. I knew someone named that growing up (full name Bernard). Though I'd probably name him Bernard and just always call him Bernie. That way he has a 'mature' name and an everyday name.

My nephew is named Ronnie. My sister-in-law says she wishes she had named him Ronald, because then she could have something more serious to call him when he misbehaves. Take from that what you will! 😂
