Baby Comments
I used to be better at responding to or reacting to the baby comments people make, not knowing we are struggling with ttc. We are going to a fertility specialist this summer after a year of trying, and just this past WEEK alone we have heard:
- a coworker tell my husband he should hold a baby because we will need practice SOON. (Okay, I’m glad you know more about our reproductive abilities than we do, lady.)
- a relative ask if she should be planning a baby shower soon. (No. No probably not. Thanks though.)
Does it get any easier?? Is there any proper way to respond? I am usually so shocked and taken back that it was even said to respond lately. They have no idea I’m hurting. 😭
