Afraid of the unknown

Is anyone else like deathly afraid of childbirth? I'm 27 and my time is coming to start trying for a baby. We've been married 2 years and together 5. I'm just so scared of labor and delivery. Sometimes I wake up at night with a panic attack and on not even pregnant or trying yet. Any ideas how to get past this?
