Can anyone help?!

I am the matron on honor in my “little sisters” wedding. She’s getting married in the beginning of October and I’m due the end of November. I need to order my dress but I have no idea what size to order. It’s my second pregnancy and I just am stumped as what to do. Anyone have any recommendations on how to order? We are ordering online so it’s not like I can go to the bridal store and talk to one of them.

Best shot would be to order a very large size, maybe 4 - 5 sizes bigger than your normal size and then have it altered in October.

It depends how you gain weight in pregnancy. For me, I’d find a dress that is flowy from the boob area down and order only a size up. My last pregnancy I only went from a M to L by the end of my pregnancy. Flowy dress ensures belly will have plenty of room. They totally have maternity dresses too, maybe you can find something your sister approves of?

Maybe check out ASOS website? They have formal maternity wear! I wish I had bought my dress for my SIL's wedding from there. It would have been cheaper than Destination maternity. 😣

If you have to soon, I’d suggest buying big enough to take in.  It’s easier than taking out.  If it’s your second, go off how much weight you gained last time.  Generally, you should gain “around” the same amount of you take care of yourself the same way.  My first 2 pregnancies were about 5lbs off each other but my heavier one was due to swelling (I swelled with my girl and had none with the boy).  But my size and body-shape looked similar.

I am in the same boat! Due at the end of November and I am a bridesmaid at a friends wedding mid-october. I have seen a lot of cute maternity dressed on Etsy. They are all sold as regular dress sizes (2,4,6 etc) but are maternity so they should fit if you buy what your normal size is (pre-pregnancy) ? But I am also stumped on what size to buy, online shopping is hard when you are going to be growing and growing!! I will probably wait a few more months before buying.

I’m in my brother’s wedding in early October and due early November! Luckily my future SIL just picked a color and let us pick the styles. When I picked my dress the sales person helped suggest styles and also suggested that I get the dress 3 sizes larger than I was then ( I was about 8 weeks along when we went shopping) my plan is that if by some chance it’s too big I’ll just have it taken in!
