Co sleeping
Prior to our girl being born I had not planned to co sleep at all. However, at 8 weeks old we are now into a routine of her sleeping in her cot from 8-9pm to 3-4am, which is when I loose the will to live and hubby sleeps in the other room while we co-sleep. I’ve done the reading and follow all the rules to make it a safe space for her. Luckily I am a light sleeper and I also don’t move in my sleep and it’s working out well, but I certainly do not intend to do this forever. I just have a few questions - maybe other experienced co sleeping mamas have some advice for me on here!
When did you stop co sleeping? What was the transition like? Any tips?
I follow the ‘make a C shape’ around your baby to protect them whilst sleeping, however she only settles if her head rests on my arm or she is laying sideways with her head on my arm whilst she breastfeeds. Do you use this position too? I’ve tried to position her lower down with her head on the mattress but she won’t settle unless some part of her is on me and the above description is what has worked for us.
