Charting with allergies and waking up in the night?

Jannah

I just got my thermometer and starting charting only 10 days before predicted ovulation, so obviously I’m not going to have a good baseline, but I’m having trouble temping consistently. My numbers are all over the place. The thermometer syncs to the app with Bluetooth. That part is as easy as can be.

The allergy season is also doing a number on me. I take Claritin daily, but I take a Benadryl at night only when it seems really bad because I want to avoid dependency. I sleep much more heavily with the Benadryl and I seem to be snoring and breathing though my mouth when I don’t.

I’m also waking up in the middle night to use the bathroom, often around 3am, unless I take Benadryl; then I sleep through. My alarm goes off at five.

Is it more important to temp at the same time each day, or before I get out of bed, no matter how early? I’m starting to wake up at 2am and 3am and 4am because I’m stressed about taking the temperature at the right time, so I know that’s making the data even worse.

Any tips or advice?
