Wondering if this is a lip tie. If it is how severe of one ?

Also has anyone had a baby with a lip tie and have done nothing for it and was okay breast feeding?

Do you do anything special while latching so it isn’t painful?

He hasn’t had problems gaining weight so getting milk isn’t an issue. On certain occasions he just won’t stay latched until he tires himself out. Also we used a nipple shield up until yesterday because of latching issues. But now he can do it without, just the latch is painful for me and there is occasional clicking sounds.
