Why do my eyes burn when I cry?

I’m not sure if this is serious enough to go to the doctor for, so I thought I’d go here. I don’t wear makeup, so I’ve no idea why my eyes burn when I cry... The answer I’ve found was the makeup gets into your eyes, so it burn, but again, I don’t wear make up. Please help!

You might have dry eyes you could try some eye drops

I don’t wear makeup either and I was sobbing at a tik tok of someone singing happy birthday to their passed mum and I couldn’t open my eyes 
Are yours usually dry?

If you have oily skin, the tears can cause some of the oils around your eye area to get in your eyes and it burns. I used to have this problem when I was in high school. Not guaranteed to be the problem but it’s a thought 🤷🏼‍♀️
